AirBilbao Flight Academy
We have our own flight academy on the Moodle platform, managed by real pilots with extensive experience in flight simulation.
We offer PPL, CPL, and advanced B738 type rating courses, taught by real airline Captains.
The AirBilbao Flight Academy uses the world's oldest teaching system: theory integrated into practice, with an ONLINE automated system that allows students to complete theoretical courses comfortably.
Our instructors fly daily alongside our students on the IVAO network. They plan flights together and, during flights, review the theoretical concepts learned.
Students do prepare in advance in terms of theory, always supervised by their instructor. However, we minimize the long tutoring sessions common in other schools, prioritizing practical work and making learning both fun and instructive.
Our academy divides pilots into two types:
- Those who are flying a simulator for the first time.
- Those who have been flying for some time but, due to excessive use of the autopilot and many errors seen in online videos, instead of helping, create more doubts, becoming mere system managers where the vital essence of flying is lost, and if taken out of the FMC, they feel lost.

IMPORTANT NOTE
The AirBilbao Flight Academy runs only one PPL course per year and admits a maximum of 6 students per course.
To advance within our airline, it is mandatory to start with the PPL course, or take a theoretical/practical exam which, if passed with a minimum grade of 7.5 (75%), allows the candidate to enter directly with a PPL rank.
2026 Course
THIS YEAR, THE 2026 FLIGHT ACADEMY COURSE WILL START IN JANUARY
We have updated our courses and created both new modules and audiovisual support packages for the Flight Academy. This renewal has resulted in a Training Department worthy of our reputation. We are confident that these improvements will greatly facilitate students’ understanding of the different study modules.
Once the registration period closes, no more students will be admitted.
